pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (thawed if frozen)
10.25 ounces cream of chicken soup (one standard can)
1.74 ounces chicken gravy mix (two envelopes)
1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
½ cup sour cream
Kosher salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Cooked rice, for serving
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish


Instructions

Place your thawed chicken breasts into the bottom of your slow cooker. Season lightly with kosher salt and cracked black pepper.
In a bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and both envelopes of gravy mix. Stir until smooth.
Pour the soup mixture evenly over the chicken.
Cover the slow cooker. Cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for about 4 hours, until the chicken is fork-tender.
Shred the cooked chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks.
Stir in the sour cream and mix thoroughly until the gravy is creamy and luscious.
Spoon the chicken and gravy over cooked rice. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For an even juicier result, swap chicken breasts for boneless, skinless thighs.
If you prefer a thicker gravy, reduce the chicken broth slightly or cook uncovered for the last 30 minutes.
