Description
This Creamy Garlic Shrimp is weeknight comfort in a skillet—garlicky, buttery, and blissfully creamy, ready in under 30 minutes. Serve it over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread for the ultimate cozy dinner.
Ingredients
• 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tbsp butter
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1/2 cup chicken broth
• 3/4 cup milk (or heavy cream for a richer version)
• 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
• 2 cups fresh spinach (optional)
• Salt and black pepper, to taste
• Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
• Cooked rice or pasta, for serving
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
2. Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, pour in chicken broth and milk. Bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan and cornstarch slurry (if using). Cook until slightly thickened, 3–5 minutes.
4. Add spinach (if using) and stir until wilted. Return shrimp to the skillet and combine. Heat for another minute.
5. Serve hot over rice, pasta, or bread. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan, if desired.
Notes
Frozen shrimp work just fine—just thaw and pat dry before cooking.
• Heavy cream gives a richer result, but milk keeps it lighter.
• Low-carb? Swap pasta with cauliflower rice or steamed veggie
